Flowers = Head Scratching

I think I know the names of maybe...8-10 flowers. And I don't even like some of the ones I can name. So when I met Amber and Inna of Butterfly Floral to discuss what flowers I'd want at the wedding, all I could do was hmm. It felt kind of like going in for an exam and totally blanking when you read the questions. I guess maybe I'm just not a huge flower person. Give me a book full of photos and I can point and say, "that one's pretty", and that's about it.

I'm still being surprised by the details you have to think about when wedding planning...and when those little things come up, my usual response is "Oh yea...". I was asked questions about my bouquet versus bridesmaids and aisle treatments and flowers on the cake and oh, what about your toss bouquet? A toss bouquet? I thought brides tossed the one they walked down the aisle with...but oh-ho no, you get a special different bouquet for flinging over your head into a crowd. This is so foreign to me...maybe it's an LA thing? Just when I think I'm getting a hold on things and "get it", a whole new question pops up!

Nick sadly missed this flower experience- I'm sure he's devastated :-)


Onto things we are sure of...open bar! Champagne toast! It wouldn't be our wedding without the bubbly! Get excited!
